The HISTORY of ROARK

Fam, friends we haven’t met yet, if you’ve ever wondered just who  we are and like what exactly is a ROARK, give us 5 to enlighten you.

Let’s kick it back to the beginning. We first opened our doors in 2012 to serve as a beacon of how gals and guys should train. Now the name ROARK is an interesting one. Ever heard of Ayn Rand? She wrote a pretty good book, The Fountainhead. Anyway 🤓. The protagonist, Howard Roark, is absolutely uncompromising in his pursuit of excellence. And being humans who value that potent kind of integrity, we were like HECK YES, which brings us to our values. You know. What makes us tick…

Empowering. We want you to succeed. This is why we’ve dedicated our existence to show you just how capable you are because we believe that what you achieve in the gym ripples throughout every aspect of your life.

Integrity. We think that environments of kindness emerge when there’s a high level of integrity for one’s self, for others, and for our shared space.

Relentless. We’re unforgiving and uncompromising in our pursuit of excellence, just like our friend Howard Roark.

Patience. The road is long. The journey’s tough. That’s why we believe it’s our responsibility as custodians of your ROARK experience, to invest our time unselfishly. To us, there are no dumb questions and there isn’t anything that can’t be explained 100 times.

So now you know that a ‘ROARK’ is actually a character in a book and you understand what gets us out of bed in the AM, it’s quick Q+A time with the humans behind the name.
